I’ve always believed that there’s more to skincare than simply slathering a cream all over your body. The best skincare products are designed to enhance both your appearance and your well-being by boosting your mood and stirring your senses through a clever combination of nourishing active ingredients, sensual fragrances and the vivid colors of their packaging. A brand that perfectly embodies this ethos is Prismologie: this multisensorial range uses color therapy, gemology and aromatherapy to boost your overall sense of well-being.
What a real indulgence it has been trying out and experiencing luxury skincare brand Prismologie. Created to inspire people to embrace the mood-enhancing powers of colors, through six distinctive colors chosen for their unique qualities. I know it enhanced my mood when this splash of color arrived through my mailbox!
The six colors are – White for Clarity, Yellow for Confidence, Pink for Comfort, Green for Serenity, Red for Vigour and Indigo for Stillness. Diamonds, Citrines, Rose Quartz, Jades, Rubies, and Sapphires are crushed into the formulations for their wellbeing properties. Working with leading Perfumers they created fragrances that unfold to complement the colors – Neroli for Clarity, Bergamot for Confidence, Rose for Comfort, Vetiver for Serenity, Cedarwood for Vigour and Oud for Stillness. The result is some really quite stunning scents for the products.
I was sent the above products to try out and below are my thoughts
1. Prismologie The Red Hour Ruby & Cedarwood Invigorating Body Oil 10ml
Prismologie says – A silky body oil blended with a marine extract, anti-oxidants, ruby micro-crystals and cedarwood fragrance to gently warm, smooth and firm your skin. Apply to clean dry skin using a circular massaging motion until fully absorbed.
My thoughts
A fast-absorbing, non-greasy body oil that intensely moisturizes even the driest of skin. Its intensely nourishing properties come from a blend of natural oils that includes rice oil, watermelon oil, sunflower oil, and argan oil, all of which are known for smoothing out the skin, strengthening its protective barrier against germs and bacteria and restoring softness and suppleness to dry and dull winter skin.
I apply the oil on my damp skin after a hot shower to boost its skin-absorbing capabilities. As I do so, the sensual aroma of cedarwood gently envelops me in a warm embrace that deeply energizes me, making me feel like I can accomplish everything I set my mind to that day. On the days I use this oil, I seem to get more done than usual and, by the time I rest my head on my pillow at night, my skin is still silky soft and smelling gorgeous. What more can a woman ask for?
2. Prismologie White Beginning Diamond & Neroli Rich Body Cream 10ml
Prismologie says – A luxuriously rich body cream with the combined power of botanical extracts. Diamond micro-crystals and the sublime scent of neroli to help soothe, protect and deeply moisturize your skin, boost collagen and increase elasticity.
My thoughts
Enriched with Diamond – a stone of clarity. Porcelain Flower calms and protects whilst Bamboo water works to gently moisturize and soften. Camellia Seed Oil is rich in oleic acid and vitamin E protects against oxidation whilst Shea Butter hydrates and softens. This rich body cream has an incredibly soft texture and is such a pleasure to apply.
3. Prismologie White beginning Diamond & Neroli Foaming Shower Cream 10ml
Prismologie says – A creamy foaming body wash enriched with botanical extracts, diamond micro-crystals and the sublime scent of neroli to cleanse and nurture your skin.
My thoughts
As soon as I apply the Diamond & Neroli Shower Cream directly on my skin or on a shower glove, I notice how the entire bathroom smells like a new beginning after my shower. My skin instantly feels soft and supple and I feel very calm and composed after using this shower cream.
Prismologie Citrine and Bergamot Shower Gel 10ml & Body Lotion 10ml

My thoughts
If you are looking for a bright and uplifting start to your morning then you will adore this sunny combination of Shower Gel and matching Body Lotion. The shower gel is just how you expect a shower gel to be and the Body Lotion is wonderfully light so it absorbs instantly leaving a velvety soft skin. As ever the scent is fantastic, zesty but not overpowering.
6. Prismologie Pink O’ Clock Hand and Cuticle Cream with Rose and Rose Quartz 10ml
Prismologie says – A sensuous cream enriched with botanical extracts, Rose Quartz micro-crystals, and Rose fragrance to soothe and moisturize stressed hands.
My thoughts
I really like rose scented products but I am fussy, they cannot be that old lady rose scent that I think most people deplore, it has to be like a delicate flower. Happily, for me this hand cream has a beautifully light and fresh rose scent that is just the perfect pick me up, it’s more a like a hint of rose which I think will appeal to most people. The lotion is once again light but does the job of softening hands with just a small amount of product.
7. Prismologie Indigo Interlude Foot Cream with Oud and Sapphire 10ml
Prismologie says – A deeply moisturizing cream with antioxidants, mood enhancing actives, Sapphire micro-crystals and Oud fragrance to help soothe your tired feet and leave skin soft and supple.
My thoughts
This is my favorite product in the whole range. Quite frankly the best smelling footcare product I have ever used. Usually, foot creams are fragranced with lavender which is not a scent that personally appeals to me much, this product pleasingly does not contain it.
I apply this as I go to bed and it gets to work. Moisturising for truly soft feet and calming, relaxing my mind, aiding sleep with its warm and musky Oud scent. Sublime.
Skin Care for mind & body, I love it! Another reason why I instantly fell in love with Prismologie is because the products don’t contain sodium lauryl sulfate (a commonly used detergent) and are also paraben (preservative) free. It is also an ethical brand because all their products are not tested on animals and all of their packaging is recyclable or reusable.
