Lately, my skin has been in a weird transitional stage, one day I have severe acne and the next day I will be as dry as beef jerky. I got a chance to try out Palmer’s Skin Therapy Oil for the face when I was sent a 30 ml sample in the mail. I have made it a regular part of my nightly skin care beauty routine because, in order to improve your skin, a simple change in routine can mean reduced or prevented fine lines, wrinkles, eye bags, and dullness.

Directions
After cleansing, apply a thin layer of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Skin Therapy Face Oil onto face and neck and massage into skin. You will definitely need to use a sunscreen (which you should be wearing on your face every day anyway!) when you use any products that contain Retinol.
What intrigues me the most about this product is that it contains both Retinol and Vitamin C. There’s a common myth about not using Retinol and Vitamin C together. But after thorough research, I have found that you can actually put your skin at a disadvantage by not using these two ingredients together because Vitamin C actually helps Retinol to work better.
The product is a very lightweight, colorless facial oil and comes packaged in a 30ml brown glass bottle with an “eye dropper” screw on lid. It contains 10 natural oils ( Sweet Almond, Grape Seed, Macadamia, Coconut, Apricot, Sesame Seed, Argan, Camelina and Sunflower Seed) plus Retinol and Vitamin C. It has a slight cocoa butter aroma typical of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula.
Nightly Skincare Regime
Because this product contains retinol, I prefer to apply this product at night when the skin’s absorption is greatest during sleep. In the morning, I notice that my skin has looked more plump and youthful since using this facial oil and that is all that matters to me. It does leave my skin feeling soft, hydrated but also slightly greasy and needs a few minutes to be absorbed into the skin. When this is done, I apply my regular night cream on top.
To blend my Liquid Foundation
When it comes to makeup, most people don’t know how that teeny, tiny, cheap foundation trick could improve their skin. While foundations exist to conceal imperfections and some can improve your skin, you can mix Palmer’s Skin Therapy oil to dramatically improve your foundation and your skin in the long run. Not to mention, mixing this oil with your foundation will sheer it out, resulting in a more natural, dewy finish (which is so popular right now!) instead of dreaded “cake face.” A little goes a long way, so just adding a tiny drop of this oil into your foundation before mixing and applying works wonders. To be honest, there are no rules. I prefer putting 3 to 4 drops of the Skin Therapy oil on my wet beauty blender directly and then gently dabbing the foundation dots on my face for a more natural healthy glow.
I haven’t experienced any breakouts as such ever since I’ve been using this product. So I will continue using it to blend my foundation as I’m loving the results. It is priced at AED 32 and it is available at all leading Pharmacies and Stores across U.A.E.
